IN THE MATTER OF ADOPTION OF
PAUL ALDAMA BATARIO (Registered under the name BENNDL ALDAMA BATARIO), SPOUSES RONALDO G. MILLER AND EDITHA ALDAMA-MILLER, Petitioners. x- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -x O R D E R This is a verified Petition for Adoption of Paul Aldama Batario registered under the name Benndl Aldama Batario, filed by petitioners Spouses Ronaldo G. Miller and Editha Aldama Miller through their counsel Atty. Vicente M. Carambas. They alleges that: They got married on October 18, 1989 in Calamba, Laguna, before MTC Judge Paterno N. Lustre; that they desire to adopt as their child Paul Aldama Batario who was registered as Benndl Aldama Batario, the legitimate son of Benedicto A. Batario, deceased, and herein petitioner, Editha Aldama Miller; considering that petitioners Ronaldo and Editha are already married and have two children named Daryl A. Miller and Renz A. Miller, they decided to adopt Paul (Benndl) and thereafter change Paul’s surname from Batario to Miller; Paul Aldama Batario (Benndl) is now twenty (20) years old being born on June 29, 1987 in Binan, Laguna; that Benedicto Batario was the father of Paul Aldama Batario (Benndl); that the 2 children Daryl and Renz of herein petitioners have given their consent to this adoption as shown by the Consent To Adoption executed and signed by them; that the petitioners are presently having a small business, a retail store at Brgy. Canlubang, Calamba City and are financially capable of giving support to the child to be adopted; that petitioners are not disqualified by law to adopt and are in the position to give the aforementioned child the proper care, custody and parental love, considering their close relationship to the child as well as their social, economic and financial status; that this adoption will serve the best interest and well being of the aforementioned child Paul (Benndl) who executed his Consent to Adoption. Finding the petition to be sufficient in form and substance, let the petition be set for hearing on November 21, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. before this Court on which date and time all persons interested may appear and show cause why the petition should not be granted. Let a copy of this Order be published at the expense of the petitioners in a newspaper of general circulation in the Province of Laguna once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks. Furnish copy to the DSWD, Office of the Solicitor General and Office of the Provincial Prosecutor with copies of said Order. The Social Worker of DSWD, Region IV, Alabang, Muntinlupa City is directed to conduct a case study of the petitioners’ and the minor and to submit Report within sixty (60) days from receipt of this Order his/her Case Study Report for consideration and approval of the Court.
