Infrastructure

Laguna has one of the most expanded infrastructure systems among the country's growth areas.

Transportation
Public utility vehicles ply the provincial road network which is already developed and well-maintained. The Philippine National Railways services towns en route to Southern Luzon. The province has six ports, five public and one private. These ports allow the ready transport of goods to market centers.

In 1995, the national government initiated the elevated expansion of the South Luzon Expressway, the main thoroughfare connecting the province to Metro Manila.

Communications
Communication systems in the province is adequately provided. Some areas in the province are already included in the Metro Manila exchange. Every municipality has a post office and several radio stations and telegram/telegraph operators exist over the length of the province.
